Zentel Suspension is primarily used to manage various intestinal worm infections and certain systemic parasitic diseases. As a broad-spectrum anthelmintic medication, it falls under the category of benzimidazole anthelmintics.
Apart from managing intestinal worm infections such as roundworm, hookworm, whipworm, and pinworm infections, this medicine is also utilised in managing intestinal strongyloidiasis caused by Strongyloides stercoralis. Further, it is used in systemic parasitic infections like cystic hydatid disease of the liver, lungs, and peritoneum caused by the larval form of Echinococcus granulosus tapeworm and neurocysticercosis caused by the larval form of Taenia solium.
